This brochure captures key lessons learned over the past 3 years in Lil’wat Nation as a part of the Preparing our Home Program. It outlines key elements of the program as it was implemented at the Xet’ólacw Community School, Lil’wat Nation: hazard mapping and risk assessment; community resilience assessment and youth strategies developed (personal/household, school and community levels). “Preparing our Home” is a community-based disaster resilience program developed and implemented by Canada’s First Nations communities.
