2022 – Stratos

The National Adaptation Strategy Symposium took place on May 16, 2022. Nearly 1,400 participants joined from across Canada, making it the largest conference on climate adaptation ever hosted in Canada!

This nation-wide event provided a forum to showcase adaptation efforts across the country. Participants heard from a wide range of speakers, including Indigenous leaders, representatives at the municipal, provincial, territorial, and federal governments, and key stakeholders in academia, non-governmental organizations, and other organizations.

This report details the key messages that emerged from each panel, including those from participants, and outlines recommendations for the National Adaptation Strategy based on the event.
