This introductory research brief is intended for leaders in communities in Canada who are interested in how data collection and monitoring of public spaces can support more climate-resilient communities. Drawing from international and national research and initiatives, this brief presents an overview of the role of public space in climate resilience and principles for data and technological innovations in climate resilience efforts.
