Indicators of Climate Adaptation in the Columbia Basin
2015 – Columbia Basin Trust
The purpose of this project was to review State of the Basin indicators for the Columbia Basin Trust region and assess their ability to measure the effectiveness of climate adaptation. The goals of the project were to develop a suite of regional-level climate change indicators to measure community climate adaptation efforts, assist communities in understanding climate change and adaptation, help decision makers in the Basin make informed decisions and measure the success of adaptation efforts.
The State of the Basin indicator program is managed by the Columbia Basin Rural Development Institute at Selkirk College in cooperation with the Trust’s Communities Adapting to Climate Change Initiative. Additional project products include a summary report, detailed literature review and a short introductory video.
