2022 – Climate Change Adaptation Program
“Farm Water Fix” is a 12-part video series (filmed in 2020 and 2021) that follows irrigation designers Andrew Bennett and Bruce Naka to farms across the Kootenay and Boundary regions as they deep dive into farm water management solutions. Many farms face similar water supply and delivery problems, made worse as climate change ramps up weather extremes and dry conditions. While the videos cover irrigation topics that support improved “water efficiency”, Andrew and Bruce also look at your farm’s bottom line: good irrigation should save you time, money, and grow better crops that are more resilient to these extreme conditions.
Produced in collaboration with KBFA as part of the Climate Change Adaptation Program, this video series and the related 4-part webinar series, “Irrigate Better,” are designed to make irrigation concepts as clear as possible to help you tune up your systems and schedules to get the right amount of water to your crops at the right time.
