Higher average temperatures lead to a higher likelihood of extreme heat emergencies like the heat dome experienced in 2021. It is critical that people understand the risks, prepare for these conditions, and know where to access support.
This guide is intended to help people prepare for extreme heat emergencies and understand what to do during an extreme heat emergency. Guide users can fill in the blanks with their own information to create a preparedness plan that works for them.
