Clear Seas Centre for Responsible Marine Shipping (Clear Seas) developed this report to provide an understanding of the extent of climate change threats, and to identify potential adaptation strategies for managing climate threats in the Canadian maritime environment.
Information provided in this report serves to support decision making by the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) and other governmental departments, port authorities, industry, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), Indigenous and coastal communities, and Indigenous governments responsible for delivering maritime services.
This report will support these decision makers as they explore integrated and long-term strategic approaches to climate change adaptation planning to decision making for the management of maritime services in Canada, including to deliver safe, accessible, and sustainable waterways for Canadians.
