City of Vancouver Adaptation Strategy
2012 — City of Vancouver
In 2012 Vancouver City Council adopted a comprehensive climate change adaptation strategy to ensure that the city remains liveable and resilient in the face of climate change. The strategy was developed under the Local Governments for Sustainability (ICLEI) planning framework. It recommends nine primary actions and over 50 supporting actions that the City of Vancouver can take to incorporate adaptation measures into its new projects and daily operations.
