2023 – Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)

The Synthesis Report of the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report (AR6) summarizes the state of knowledge of climate change, its widespread impacts and risks, and climate change mitigation and adaptation. It integrates the main findings of the Sixth Assessment Report (AR6) based on contributions from the three Working Groups, and the three Special Reports.

The report includes an assessment of current global progress in climate adaptation, gaps and challenges in adaptation, and future climate change impacts and climate-related risks. The report indicates that, while adaptation and mitigation measures have expanded over time, these still fall short of what will be needed to meet the challenges that climate change presents.
