Adaptation Learning Network Final Report
March 2022 – Adaptation Learning Network
This is the story of the development of the Adaptation Learning Network, a 3-year professional learning program led by Dr. Robin Cox at Royal Roads University to accelerate climate adaptation capacity-building in British Columbia, Canada.
From 2019-2022, Dr. Robin Cox and the Resilience by Design Lab team from Royal Roads University developed and ran a climate adaptation capacity-building program for working professionals in British Columbia, Canada.
Funded by Natural Resources Canada’s Building Regional Adaptation Capacity and Expertise (BRACE) program and the BC Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy, the program set out to do three things: develop a competency framework for climate adaptation, create and deliver a suite of 10 courses, and build a professional learning network.
