Welcome to the new ReTooling website!
We are excited to welcome you to the new ReTooling for Climate Change website! Our team has been working over the past year to transition to this new site, which offers improved ease of navigation so that climate change adaptation case studies, tools, resources, and events can be accessed in a streamlined format. The goal of this site is to make climate change adaptation information accessible and useful no matter what phase of climate action your community is in.
If your community is new to climate change adaptation, our Climate Change Impacts on British Columbia section is a great place to begin and explore Climate Change 101, Risks & Impacts on BC, Low Carbon Resilience, and Climate Equity. Gaining a deeper understanding of these important topics is a great foundation to work with to find climate change adaptation solutions.
Our Communities Adapt Case Studies offer examples of how BC communities are integrating adaptation into their current planning processes, providing insight into the reality of implementing climate change adaptation initiatives. The various approaches to integrating adaptation found in our case studies can offer support if you are at the planning phase of bringing adaptation into your community climate action planning.
The Taking Action Adaptation Toolkit section of our site is a great place to look if you are interested in information on a specific area of climate change adaptation. This section explores the diverse sectors and industries that are affected by climate change, what the climate risks and vulnerabilities are for each sector, the work that is being done around the province, and what the key resources are to get started on adaptation action.
For opportunities to engage with emerging adaptation news and events, be sure to check out the News & Events section. Here, you can find information on upcoming BC Regional Adaptation Collaborative free workshops and webinars that focus on a wide range of climate change preparedness topics. In the news section, you can also find links to the ReTooling monthly newsletters.
We look forward to hearing about your experiences with the new site! Please feel free to reach out if you have questions.
