Coastal First Nations: What We’re up Against: Creating Understanding of Local Climate Impacts

Coastal First Nations Adaptation Workshop Series
What does climate change look like now, and what will it look like in the future in BC? This session will dive into participants’ lived experiences of weather and climate changes. It will also feature presenters:
- Robyn Robinson of the Gitga’at Environmental Knowledge Project, who will speak about the project “We Monitor by Living Here,”
- Kari Tyler of the Pacific Climate Impacts Consortium, who will speak about climate projections, and
- Chief Patrick Michell of Kanaka Bar Indian Band, who will speak about how Kanaka Bar is preparing for climate change.
Registration is reserved for First Nations community members, leaders and those invited by community leadership within the BC coastal regions.
