Fraser Valley Climate Safety Guide Launch
April 30, 2022 @ 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm
Come join the Fraser Valley youth cohort of the Fraser Basin Council’s Co-Creating a Sustainable BC initiative as they celebrate the launch of their free climate safety resource guide for the community! Learn about how to prepare your family for extreme weather events.
We will have free copies of the resource guide to give away, as well as delicious goodies from local bakery The Polly Fox, and a fun DIY craft station for families. Stop by whenever you’re free for some family-friendly fun!
Wasel Rahman, Senior Energy Specialist from the City of Abbotsford, will be at the event to share what the city is doing on climate change.
This youth-led project and the wonderful youth organizers are part of the 2021-22 Co-Creating a Sustainable BC initiative, which provides youth aged 16-30 with the opportunity to identify key areas where they can support sustainability in their communities.
